We finally get to do a recap with both Kimchi and Par 3 on finishing the trail. We discuss the end of the time on the trail, their best moments, and what it means to be a thru-hiker.

i enjoy this podcast so immensely–i ration the episodes, only letting myself listen to 1 per week (ish) so i don’t burn through them too quickly. i really, really, really hope you continue the podcast next year. thru-hiking isn’t an option for me now (full-time day job, 6 dogs to take care of, and I run a nonprofit dog rescue that is a 24/7 sort of situation), but for sure an AT thru-hike is in my future. so for the near future, trail running in my free time and your podcast are the two things that keep my passion for the trail nourished and keep me from feeling sad about not being able to thru-hike right now. thank you so much!! your (and all of your guests’) enthusiasm, humor, wisdom, and generosity of spirit are such a gift! keep podcasting!!!!!

I agree with the interviewee. It’s a trail you love and it is pure magic almost every day. But sometimes….. i felt the trail was beating the sh out of me.
